For decades, Loral Skynet had been a leading global provider of fixed satellite services. However, the cumulative effects of the tech sector’s collapse, the poor performance of a major investment by the parent company and the sale of major U.S. assets to a competitor weakened the perception of Skynet as a global leader in the industry.
Skynet hired MDB to launch its first-ever global marketing effort. The media mix included print and online advertising, tradeshow booth design, e-mail marketing, and media relations/executive visibility. MDB also developed a microsite that served as the central portal for the majority of campaign responses.
Sales inquiries increased 10.8% — in the United States, Brazil, London, Munich, Bangalore, Singapore and Beijing.
