MDB Promotes Carlson to Director of Client Services
Promotion Includes Expanded Role in Agency Management and Client Development

Washington (Feb. 15, 2007) - MDB Communications today announced the promotion of Janine Carlson to director of client services, adding the position to her role as vice president. This is Carlson’s second promotion in as many years. In addition to her roles as an account director and senior leader, she will now also lead the client services department, having responsibility for senior counsel across all MDB accounts in addition to leading the account management team.

Since joining the agency in July 2003, Carlson has continually proven herself a dedicated leader. Cary Hatch, MDB president & CEO said, “Janine has proven to be an incredible asset for the agency, guiding our growth while also guiding clients as they increasingly embrace new media options.”

Carlson will continue to serve as account director for her current clients, including such notable brands as National Geographic Society, Fannie Mae, Hunter Douglas, and the Fannie Mae Foundation. Her new role also includes expanded business development responsibilities.

Carlson remains a sought-after speaker addressing online communications and integrated marketing strategies at various trade and business conferences. “It is one thing to talk about new and great ideas,” said Carlson. “We, however, marry that with meaningful, measurable results. It’s exciting having the opportunity to share these new ideas, especially with MDB’s clients.”

Prior to joining the firm, Carlson was a principal with ICON Communications. Her experience spans commercial and personal financial services, technology, and retail services at the local, national, and international level. She holds a bachelor's in communications from California State University, Fullerton, where she graduated with honors.
